This is my first attempt at a blog. I really do not know what was creating so much resistance. Oh wait, I do know. Fear. Fear of putting it out there. Fear of finding those who may highly disagree with my writings, but some of my ideas and thoughts have been found to be helpful and that is the perspective from which I begin this journey of blogging. Assistance. Hell, it is in my name after all. We all need a little help from our friends. I turn to my virtual community constantly when I can’t remember Jude Law’s last movie, or want to know who this character is on Star Wars Clone Wars (sidebar: we have a youngling who is all about Anakin and Padme), or what to do about a persistent tooth ache after a visit to the dentist. Whatever it is, we want to know, and we usually turn to Google. Sorry Bing. Bing who?
When I began my Virtual Assistance business, I made this page on my handy WordPress site, but it has been many months since, and I have yet to post a single thing. Here goes post #1. I guess I was not sure what it was that a VA blog should be about. I mean, who really wants to read about font spacing and excel spreadsheets? Sure, someone may need those tips too, and when I come across a good one, I just usually share it rather than write it myself. This blog is going to be about more than being a Virtual Assistant, which by the way, I love! However, it is not all encompassing in my life. What it does is offer me the opportunity to wear many different hats during any given day. Wife, Mother, House cleaner, Virtual Assistant, Travel Agent, Concierge, Event Planner, Banker, Shopper, Chauffeur, Gourmet Cook, Gardener, Seeker, Practitioner, Meditation guide, and thanks to Shaun T a T25’r. These hats can lead to a lot of tips, experiences, funny stories, ideas and general ruminations. I have always wanted to write, so readers….here goes.
